If it remained in water for more than 20 minutes, its proper function can no longer be guaranteed. The internal elements are glued together, and if they separate, the FSC will no longer work as intended.
In some older cases, it is possible to open the casing and check whether the internal plate has come loose. However, this is not possible with many newer FSC models, including those with 12 elements. In such cases, the main reference point is the approximate amount of time the FSC spent in water.

The lifespan of an FSC mainly depends on the durability of the materials it is made from. In other words, it is designed to last over time.

No. According to S. Koltsov, the inventor of FSCs, their effects no longer operate when they are stacked on top of each other. In other words, once stacked, they become inactive.
To benefit fully from their action, FSCs should not be worn one on top of another, kept stacked together in a bag during use, or used in this way to structure liquids. It is recommended to keep at least 8 cm of distance between two FSCs during use.
However, stacking FSCs for simple storage does not cause any lasting damage to their function.
